A Message From Our Founder, Ali Truwit
As I have survived and recovered from a shark attack in May 2023 where I lost my foot and part of my leg, I have come to understand how expensive prosthetics are and how little is covered by insurance. I’ve also been reminded how critical being a capable swimmer was to my survival. I started Stronger Than You Think to help people in need of financial assistance with their prosthetics as well as to help people become water safe.

Chat_Hats was started based on the idea that putting a word on a hat will start a conversation, get someone thinking, inspire someone or add to a fun time.
Ali’s story of working to overcome her trauma, her athleticism, her mental toughness and her drive in accomplishing all that she has- is something that I am honored to be a part of & that I hope sparks conversation about how incredible para athletes are, how incredible Ali is and as Ali says how we’re all stronger than we think are.
